I am familiar with quite a few different video editing softwares including Adobe Premiere Pro, Vimeo, Wondershare Filmora, and iMovie. When I became aware of the AI video editing software wave.video, I was interested in trying it out for myself. For the text portion of this project, I used an abstract from my "Community-Clean" service project that I had pursued during my undergraduate studies.
The process to generate the video in wave.video was quite simple. All I needed to do was insert a title and text, select video preferences like format and style, and simply click "create video." From there, the AI did the rest of the work. In seconds, the program generated a one-minute and ten-second video. Below is the initial video that the AI generated.
The next steps included utilizing the video editing tools that the program provides. There are quite a few different options to choose from such as editing the video layout or uploading stock for photo and video. I had the ability to click on the video and edit text and images directly. There were also options for uploading music, generating a voice, adding stickers and captions, and much more. One thing I really liked was the "apply to all" feature which made it easy to format the background or text to all parts of the video as opposed to doing so individually.

As someone with experience using video editing softwares, I have to say that I am happy with how well this program worked for me. The AI successfully completed the task of creating a relevant video, and it was simple for me to go back in and edit. I have the final video product below. The AI was free to use, easy to understand, and quick to render and download, which makes it a great program in my opinion. As AI continues to evolve, I am interested to see how this tool improves and grows over time.
